A further testament to its dedication to bringing better banking across Botswana, Stanbic Bank Botswana this week opens a branch in Selebi Phikwe. The new branch comes as part of an aggressive growth strategy from the bank in order to enhance accessibility of banking services and improve service delivery to Batswana. Selebi Phikwe Branch opened its doors to the public on the 18th December 2012.
“Selebi Phikwe Branch serves as the 11th Stanbic Bank branch in Botswana and our 4th branch in the northern part of the country. The new branch is part of our Personal and Business Banking growth plan, through which we strive to increase access to banking products and services. These range from Personal and Business transactional accounts to investment accounts and lending. Ultimately, as we increase our footprint across Botswana, we are in a better position to assist Batswana in becoming more financially sound,” said Stanbic Bank Head of Personal Banking, Chana Lerato Sekgororoane.
Selebi Phikwe Branch is located at Plot 2537, Phikwe Square, just before Cresta Bosele Hotel. The security and convenience of the Selebi Phikwe Branch ensures that residents of the town and the surrounding area no longer have to travel far to carry out their banking transactions. In addition, Stanbic Bank has increased its network of ATMs across Botswana from 19 to 24, as well as increasing its Point of Sales machines to 406.
Mrs Maria Sematlho, Selebi Phikwe Branch Manager said, “The opening of the new branch will also bring in the necessary competition to other banks within Phikwe. This will ensure that Batswana have a greater pool of choice when it comes to banking services. This encourages us as members of the banking industry to maintain the best service standards. This is yet another way Stanbic Bank is moving Batswana forward.”
