St Louis Export, a Botswana-brewed premium lager, has been awarded a Monde Gold Quality Award by the Monde Selection Committee in Brussels, Belgium. Since its launch in 2009, St Louis Export has been the recipient of two Monde Quality Awards, starting with a silver medal in 2012 and now a gold medal in 2013.
“Our goal was always to brew a world class premium beer. Our special ingredient, crystal malt, has served as a catalyst that we believe has made the difference in producing a beer that is worthy of a Monde Gold Quality Award. We are extremely excited to have St Louis Export top our 2012 achievement,” said Amakura Erbynn, KBL’s Premium Beer Marketing Manager.
St Louis Export lager and St Louis Export Draught are made from pure water, hops and the special ingredient called crystal malt. The special ingredient is the catalyst which brings out a unique aroma and taste of St Louis Export.
Taking inspiration from crystal malt, St Louis Export has established itself as a catalyst in Botswana through its Top 40 Under 40 initiative. The St Louis Export Top 40 Under 40 are a select group of individuals who are catalysts for positive change in their communities. The Top 40 are all under 40 years of age and aim to inspire other Batswana to be the best.
“St Louis Export offers consumers a premium product that has been internationally recognised for its excellence. With the Top 40 Under 40 we aim to recognise excellence in our own. We are very proud of once again being recognised by the Monde Selection, and this time, for a Gold Award,” concluded Ms Erbynn.
