BotswanaPost says it will on the 19th August 2013 implement new Postal Tariffs. The tariff increases include postal, money exchange and delivery services.

The letter mail, private bag and Express Mail Services (EMS) will increase by 10% respectively.

According to the organisation headed by Pele Moleta, the tariff reviews are necessary to mitigate the ‘operating costs that continue to rise’ and to meet the regional and international operating standards.

“BotswanaPost has taken bold steps to diversify its products and services range to meet a diversified customer base and to increase its footprint to meet and serve customers wherever they live,” it said.

“The Post still offers convenience to businesses and customers through access, quick transactions and direct delivery through a network of 123 post offices and 79 postal agencies”.

Some of the services on offer are postal, money transfers, courier and agency services. BotswanaPost says a detailed tariff guide will be available from its website: www.botspost.co.bw and through the postal network from August 19, 2013.
