bihlsureBIHL Sure! demonstrated their Group company pledge on 6th September 2013 in Lobatse at Itireleng Junior Secondary School by donating P10, 000 worth of books. This was during the school’s annual prize giving ceremony which aims to reward, recognise and motivate students who have excelled in the various areas of school life such as academics and extra-curricular activities.

Mr Ben Tobeza, Director of Marketing and Communications gave a keynote speech, highlighting the importance of financial literacy. “It is critical that our children begin to understand the world of finance and insurance from a young age. Consumer education in these matters should be incorporated into the school syllabi to ensure an informed and financially savvy nation,” said Mr Tobedza. This part of the broader efforts by BIHL Group to educate and sensitise the general public about insurance, how it works and how to use it to the best of one’s benefits.

BIHL Sure!, as part of the BIHL Group subscribes to the BIHL Trust’s interests in education and aims to play an active role in the development of the country’s future including in the area of education.
