This solution is a safe, secure and convenient means of payment that brings independence to all Individuals, Business and Corporate clients who need an expense management solution. The cardholders do not have to own a Bank account to acquire this Prepaid Card.
“We aim to develop products and services that bring value and convenience to our customers. Our new Prepaid Card product is designed to give customers greater control over their financial affairs. It is a reloadable payment card that enables customers to load funds onto the card, which can then be utilised through Point of Sale (PoS) transactions, bill payments, ATM Cash Withdrawals and Online payments,” said Ms. Portia Motshegare, Stanbic Bank Botswana’s Head of Personal and Private Banking
Our prepaid card offers a unique set of features including a user-friendly interface with different functionalities to enhance customer experience. The card can transact both domestically and internationally. Business and Corporate clients also have access to a customised self-service portal they can use to fund various cards. The Prepaid Card has a minimum balance of BWP0 and maximum balance of BWP 70 000.
The Prepaid Card offers enhanced security compared to carrying cash. It is also 3D secure which makes it safe for cardholders to do online shopping. The transactions are authenticated through one time password (OTP) which is sent to the cardholders through their registered mobile number or email address at the time of the purchase.
“The Prepaid Card provides flexibility and enhanced financial control, aspects which matter to customers. In today’s economy, where a more prudent management of finances is important, we believe this will add great value to customers at the same time making dreams possible to support our purpose of driving Botswana’s growth,” Motshegare concluded.
