RMB Botswana, a division of FNB Botswana Limited and FirstRand Bank Limited, has partnered with Capital Resources to sponsor and participate at the 2014 Botswana Resource Sector Conference to be held at the Gaborone International Conference Centre (GICC) from 10-11 June 2014.
The 2014 Botswana Resource Sector Conference is a platform for Botswana’s resource companies to enquire about and explore investment opportunities from participating global institutions. RMB, as a leading African corporate and investment bank and part of one of the largest financial services in Africa, will offer innovative advisory, capital markets, financing and principal investing solutions during the two day conference.
Attendees at this year’s Conference can look forward to a number of key industry leaders speaking at the event. Amongst the speakers is William McFerren, an experienced mining engineer who has been working at RMB since 2005. He will speak about RMB’s experience in funding Coal & Diamond projects. McFerren previously worked in the coal and explosives industries and has been involved in numerous complex project financing transactions in Africa including: gold in Liberia, copper in the DRC, uranium in Namibia and coal in Botswana and South Africa.
“We have an extensive pool of investment banking talent with a resource focus ranging from developing power projects, funding mining houses and advising on currency and commodities transactions on the African continent. We believe our knowledge of local financing requirements, legal and jurisdictional frameworks, together with the expertise and balance sheet of FirstRand Bank, enable us to service the needs of Botswana’s resource sector,” said Head of RMB Botswana Ms. Pauline Motswagae.
RMB Botswana is an African corporate and investment bank built on Traditional values and Innovative ideas – a philosophy the investment giant has nurtured and grown since its beginnings.
