SA Fashion Week returns with a bang tomorrow as a myriad of designers showcase their coveted designs on the runways from today to the 8th of April 2014 in Johannesburg.

Launched in 1996, SA Fashion Week is South Africa’s longest standing industry event that provides local designers or brands a platform to launch their latest collections to buyers and the media in runway shows. Two seasonal events are held annually in Johannesburg to introduce the Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter Collections of a given year. April will see up to 28 designers showcase their Spring/Summer 2014 collections.

Designers billed to showcase their latest collections include:  Albertus Swanepoel, Amanda Laird Cherry, Anmari Honiball, Black Coffee, Casey Jeanne, Claire Mackenzie, Clive Rundle, and Cloche. They will be joined by Luxion Kulca, Rubicon, and Vino, amongst others. In addition, designers Gert-Johan Coetzee and Craig Jacobs, who is set to continue captivating the hearts of Batswana fashion-lovers at this year’s Lansmore Wedding and Fashion Expo, will also show off his Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

SA Fashion Week’s vision is to contribute to the development of an economically robust designer industry and to encourage the South African consumer’s patronage of local designers, promoting the growth of the local fashion industry and nurturing of what has proven to be a rich source of immeasurable talent.
