Lansmore Masa Square played host to a uniquely exciting evening of living with Chivalry on Friday 23rd May 2014. In partnership with Benju, Lansmore hosted a whisky tasting for guests that rivalled all others as the brands continued to prove those who fancy something a little different will never be disappointed.
“We’re incredibly pleased to have partnered with our friends at Benju once again for a fantastic evening. Chivas Regal has an enviable reputation as a leading Scotch whisky brand and we are thrilled to work with a brand of its calibre,” said Lansmore Masa Square General Manager, Rupert Elliott. “Chivas is in a class that resembles the positioning and value we strive to give our guests , and we look forward to continuing to live up to our reputation of bringing such ‘firsts’.”
The evening saw Chivas Regional Brand Ambassador for Whiskies, Silindile Parirenyatwa, take a room full of eager guests through the taste profiles of Chivas Regal 12, 18 and 25 year old whiskies. The whisky tasting was paired with a menu of culinary excellence created by Lansmore Executive Chef, Rico Carlinsky. Both those with an experienced palette for fine whisky and food as well as novices keen to gain a greater appreciation for the renowned brand and the best way to enjoy it experienced a Chivalrous evening.
The sophisticated affair proved to be yet another successful event hosted by the hotel, who continues to find new and unique ways of reviving the local hospitality playing field. Lansmore has partnered with a number of luxury brands in recent months to further up the ante in redefining what Batswana have come to expect in the lifestyle space.
Commented David Judd, Sales Manager at Benju, “Our partnership with Lansmore continues to grow more exciting each day and this is yet another testament to that fact. We value that there is a strong loyalty and passion for such a fine brand as Chivas Regal and we want to reward those loyal fans with an evening of education, appreciation and, quite simply a good time.”
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition jury, in 2013, awarded Double Gold Medals to the Chivas Regal 18yr, 21yr and 25yr whiskies. Within the Botswana market, Chivas is distributed by Benju through its relationship with French producer of distilled beverages, Pernod Ricard. This is yet another collaboration between Lansmore Masa Square and Benju, following the launch of Absolut Gaborone at Lansmore in 2013.
“It’s been a fantastic time getting to know our local following and learn from our customers just as much as we were able to guide them through our most celebrated whiskies. Paired with Chef Rico’s culinary wizardry, the might of Chivas Regal proved indomitable,” concluded Parirenyatwa.
