Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) in collaboration with the three (3) Contractors for the North West 440kV Transmission Grid Connection project will hold ground breaking ceremony events at the four (4) Substations – Samochima, Toteng, Mawana(Maun) and Letlhakane next week.

The first ground breaking session will be held at Samochima- Shakawe on Monday 22 January 2018 and the Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security Honorable Advocate Sadique Kebonang will officiate at the event. The Toteng and Maun ground breaking sessions will be held on Tuesday 23 January 2018 at 1000hrs and 1430hrs respectively while Letlhakane ground breaking session will be held on Wednesday 24 January 2018 from 1430hrs.

Alongside the ground breaking ceremony at Samochima, we shall offer our Ngarange Primary School students from Standard 1 to Standard 7 school uniform as per our sponsorship pledge during the BPC sponsored Prize Giving Ceremony of 13 October 2017. The CEO will do the handover of the school uniform to the School Head Ms. Kereng Molefe. You may recall that the school was adopted by BPC during the previous year and the Corporation achieved in improvement of the Library facility and provision of some stationery for the students. (BPC)
