From making it into the top 5 finalists list in the Industry Sector Award Category, to scooping a 3rd place award at the 2012 Africa SMME Awards held at Cape town South Africa, Miraculous Investment, a Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) registered client has not only made LEA proud, but has positioned Botswana as a country of innovation within the industry sector.
Miraculous Investment (Pty) Ltd is a Botswana wholly citizen owned company that started its operation in June 2006. It is located in the Central District of Botswana, in Serowe village, under the ownership of Yaone Tebogo, Thato Tebogo and Mary Tebogo.
The company’s main focus is processing and packaging of indigenous – Setswana food products as a way of promoting healthy eating habits. Its product line includes letshotlho (cooked dried corn), kgodu ya lerotse (boiled melon juice) and morogo wa dinawa (cooked dried bean leaves from black eye and nawa e tshetlha).
Being a LEA client has opened opportunities and doors for Miraculous Investment, as they were registered for the 2012 Africa SMME Awards by LEA. The LEA client has heed to the business advice that LEA continuous to offer and it has resulted in leaps of growth for the company, within all aspects i.e. operation and sales.

To acknowledge and appreciate the important role the sector play in promoting wealth and prosperity in the continent, Africa growth Institutes, in partnership with major Private Sector Institutions, NGOs and SMME support agencies introduced the Africa SMME Conference and Awards.
The idea behind the Awards is to identify and recognise the best performing SMMEs in the continent, with the Award ceremony showcasing the continent’s best SMMEs in the trade, services and industrial sectors. The overall winner receives the African SMME of the Year Award.
The journey of Miraculous Investment (Pty) Ltd to winning an award at the 2012 Africa SMME Awards began with completing an entry form from Africa growth Institute, through LEA. The company was then nominated into the final five (5), from which the three winners were selected.
In giving her speech at the Awards Ceremony, Ms Yaone Tebogo had this to say, “I will also like to acknowledge the support of my government through Botswana Local Enterprise Authority. This is further testimony to the reality that the Botswana Government has no greater responsibility than the empowerment of its citizens. In this, connection, government has put in place several assistance schemes and programmes aimed at supporting and promoting citizen economic empowerment efforts”.
