Monday night, 15th October 2012, saw listed company Letshego Holdings Limited engage stakeholders from across the globe at a dinner to celebrate the 14th anniversary of the Group’s inception as well as the commemoration of 10 years of being listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange. The dinner, held at Lansmore Masa Square, also served to kick off a week long strategic planning session for the Group which saw its CEOs form across its African operations converge in Botswana.
The Board and Executive Management of Letshego welcomed CEOs from the 11 countries in which Letshego operates for the celebratory dinner and strategy conference. This included delegates from, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Lesotho, Kenya, Zambia, and Botswana. Letshego, a leading pan African consumer financial services provider, was incorporated in Botswana in 1998, listing on the BSE in 2002. Its main business is to extend short to medium term personal, unsecured loans to individuals in formal employment. The last 14 years have seen the Group swiftly developing into one of the most recognisable brands in Botswana as well as on the African continent.

Following the dinner, a week long strategy session will engage all Board members and CEOs of the Group and its 11 subsidiaries. The forum will provide guidance regarding implementing its expansion and transformation strategy, evaluating progress, and making the necessary adjustments to stay on track to fulfil the vision of the Group: being a pan African leader of affordable, appropriate and high quality financial services.
