Botswana Insurance Company Limited walked away with a vision 2016 award at the recently held Vision 2016 Excellence Awards in recognition of the organisation’s efforts in living the vision. One area that BIC places emphasis on is its contribution to social development and the Vision 2016 award proved that our efforts are not futile.

The vision 2016 awards are held every year to recognise individuals and private entities who invest their time and resources in communities in which they live in, to contribute towards the development of the country and help in attaining the goals of the national vision. BIC enlisted with 4 other (out of a large number of other private sector companies) received recognition from the Vision 2016 Council.

BIC has always been an active player in community development and social responsibility. CSR is a critical element for BIC and considered a high priority in contributing to Botswana’s social development. BIC sternly believes that development does not solely lie in the hands of government, but that it is also up to private sector players to contribute towards transforming, reconstructing and developing the nation.

The organisation will continue to support CSR projects and with its employees, positively transform the nation through sponsorships towards Education, Health and Welfare, Conservation & the Environment, Road Safety, Culture & Heritage and Crime prevention in the process implementing the Vision pillars.
