As Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone prepares to open its doors, we thought it is important for our valued stakeholders to get to know our leadership. Evan Harrington is the hotel’s General Manager, with over 19 years of professional experience in the hospitality sector.
Evan has a passion for uniting high-quality standards with always putting the guest first. He is committed to the continuous process of improving, evolving and changing markets. Evan has global experience in the industry, having worked in a variety of diverse markets. He has previously served as Director of Operations at The Hormuz Grand Hotel in Muscat, and Fairmount Zimbali Resort in Ballito, as well as Hilton Durban, which offered his first taste of the Hilton brand. To date, Evan has worked seven years within the Hilton group.

EVAN HARRINGTON
Evan is passionate about working to grow the Botswana hospitality sector, with nuanced experience, having worked in Gaborone’s hospitality sector before for two years. His experience, insights and high spirits see him successfully build and motivate dynamic teams, all the while cultivating a company culture in which Team Members feel comfortable and confident.
Throughout his career thus far, Evan been an integral part of various hotel refurbishment projects, successfully exceeding budgets during his period as Acting General Manger with Fairmont and Hilton hotels, and completing the Shine 4D Management Development Program with Hilton. He holds a National Diploma in Hospitality Management (Free State University of Technology, Hotel School), and a Certificate of Management Development (Wits Business School).
At the helm of Hilton Garden Inn Gaborone, Evan is excited to redefine service delivery in the industry.
