Three lucky winners were recently rewarded by First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) in a campaign tailored for its VISA card holders. VISA card holders were encouraged to make use of their debit or credit cards when travelling outside Botswana. The campaign highlighted the benefits of using the FNB VISA card as a safer option compared to carrying cash.
Prizes for who evidenced greatest use of their FNBB VISA card included a boat cruise to Madagascar and two getaways to the Okavango Delta. Cellphones were awarded fortnightly along with spot prizes to card holders at various points of sale and ATMs during the campaign. Tracy Carr- Hartley walked away the grand prize trip to Madagascar, with Gaoope Tamocha and Margaret Dayton each on their way to Kasane for an all expenses paid week long holiday.
Use of a debit/credit card over cash offers greater security, particularly when travelling outside the country. Using a bank card also offers the added benefit of using their funds without having to go through the hassle of converting currency. “In collaboration with VISA, we launched this campaign in a bid to not only improve convenience for our customer, but also as a security feature. Using your FNBB VISA card also ensures that our customers have greater control over their finances as financial planning and budgeting are easier,” said FNBB Director of Marketing and Communications, Ms. Bomolemo Selaledi.
FNBB notes despite this campaign having ended, the Bank continues to encourage the use of credit and debit cards for safe and convenient transactions. To keep up this momentum, the Bank has once again teamed up with VISA to offer FNBB customers a chance to travel to Brazil for the upcoming FIFA World Cup with a ‘Swipe and Win’ campaign.
