Subsequent to the advent of the Novel Corona Virus, the Majwe-AM570 Cycling Challenge had to be postponed as the nation went under lockdown and later a State of Emergency (SOE) declared.
After the eventual lifting of some of the bans and the return to normalcy, new dates have been identified for the Inaugural Majwe Mining Albert Milton (Majwe-AM570) cycling challenge. The challenge will take place from the 3 rd -5 th December,2020 (a period of 3 days).
This challenge comes in the wake of Albert Milton’s untimely demise (MHSRP) in August of 2019. Milton was an avid cyclist whose cycling career centered around charity and giving back to underprivileged communities. We hold a firm belief that it now more imperative than ever to host this event as the Covid19’s ripple effects on the economy have been felt the most by the disadvantaged who have now been thrown into dire straits.
The Majwe-AM570 Cycling Challenge team and all its sponsors and partners remain committed to the country’s vision of moving the country from a resource based to a knowledge-based economy by heavily impacting the learners/pupils.
