stlouisGABORONE- What makes someone a catalyst?  St Louis Export has launched the first ever 40 Under 40 to recognise Botswana’s changemakers across all industries. Focussing on all changemakers under the age of 40 years, St Louis Export has handpicked 2013 group in consultation with the communities and endorsed by expert panellists.

This initiative coined Top 40 Under 40, is the first of its kind from St Louis Export and it hopes to make an impact countrywide. Amakura Erbynn, KBL’s Premium Beer Marketing Manager, explained that launching this inititiative was inevitable. “St Louis Export owes its distinctive premium taste to a special ingredient called crystal malt. Having entered the market 3 years ago with our special recipe created by a Motswana brewmaster, we aimed to be a catalyst of change in our country in all other spheres or support initiatives that have similar goals”.

The 40 catalysts are all leaders in their own rights, but with years of experience from their respective industries, a wealth of knowledge is possessed by the 2013 40 Under 40. This special outfit is ready to serve its country by offering skills and their time to positively individuals and communities.

Commented a member of the judging panel, Mud Hut Productions founder, Mr. Solomon Monyame, “In the midst of our search for Botswana’s catalysts from North to South, we were pleasantly overwhelmed with the number of young changemakers our country has. Working with our criteria, we had to choose the top 40, but there were many other catalysts who we hope to see in next year’s Top 40 Under 40.”

“We are very excited about this initiative and we hope to unearth many more catalysts who with St Louis Export’s Top 40 Under 40 can reach many more communities with their exceptional work.” concluded Ms Erbynn.
