Lesego Osman – Head of Global Markets, Standard Bank Malawi

Stanbic Bank Botswana has announced the appointment of Mr. Lesego Osman as Head of Global Markets at Standard Bank Malawi, effective immediately.

Mr Osman assumes his new role within the Standard Bank Group and he is based in Lilongwe, Malawi.

We believe in leveraging off the opportunities and possibilities across the Group and are incredibly proud to see Lesego benefit from this,” said Stanbic Bank Chief Executive, Mr. Leina Gabaraane.

Lesego wields a wealth of academic and vocational experience, including an Executive Management Global Consulting Practicum from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania; and a Masters in Business Administration majoring in Finance from University of Botswana. Lesego also studied for a Bachelor of Information Systems with a minor in Commerce from La Trobe University, Australia.

Lesego has technical training in Bank Credit Management, ACI Dealing Certificate and Treasury Bourse Game. He also holds a Diploma in Fundamentals of Capital Market Development and a Certificate in Personal and Professional Leadership. In addition, Lesego holds the position of Director Part 1 with the South African Institute of Directors.

Mr Osman boasts a professional career within the banking sector of nine years, 5 of which have been within the Standard Bank Group family. During this time, he has held positions at both Standard Bank South Africa and Stanbic Bank Botswana.
